Some northern Minnesota cities are already reporting several inches of snow

as a major storm has started its slow move across the state. By the time the storm leaves tomorrow, the northern half of the state could receive up to a foot or more. Some areas along the North Shore are being told to expect 20 inches or more. There was already a report of 14 ½ inches from near Duluth at 6:30 this morning.The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for the upper 3/4ths of the state through tomorrow. The Twin Cities area is included in the warning and could receive several inches. Rain and freezing rain are in the forecast for most of southeast Minnesota, although a few inches of snow could fall tomorrow.
