Olmsted Republican Garage Sale Benefits Mission 21
The Republican Party of Olmsted County is holding a garage sale to assist a local organization that assists younger victims of sex trafficking.
The event is taking place Friday until 6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. through 1 p.m at the Olmsted County Fairgrounds in Building 40. A variety of items donated by local Republican Party members have been collected and are being offered for sale.
The money raised at the event will be donated to Mission 21 in Rochester. The organization provides support to victims of sex-trafficking, along with prevention programs aimed at keeping young people from becoming victims and community education initiatives to spread the word about the nature and scope of the problem in Rochester, Minnesota and elsewhere in the United States.
Rich Peterson previously interviewed Mission 21 Executive Director Stephanie Holt about the organization's work during a segment on KROC-AM's Rochester's Good Morning. You can listen to that interview by playing the YouTube video below.
