Prior Lake, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Minnesota State Patrol says darkness and rainy conditions may have contributed to the death of a 27-year-old Prior Lake man Saturday night.

The patrol's preliminary report indicates there were no street lights and there was no crosswalk nearby when Travis Peterson was struck by a pickup truck while he was attempting to walk across Highway 13 in Prior Lake shortly after 10 PM.

Two other young men from Savage were with Peterson when he was struck by the vehicle. The State Patrol says they, and the 56-year-old Richfield man driving the pickup truck, were not hurt.
