Police Investigate Cooking Grease Theft???
Rochester Police are investigating an unusual theft case.
Captain John Sherwin says an employee of a Redwood Falls company has reported the loss of 6000 to 7000 pounds of cooking grease. The man drives a route for Midwest Grease and each week he visits Rochester to pick up waste grease from five local restaurants, mainly located along Broadway. On his most recent trip to the city he discovered the grease collection containers at all five businesses were empty.
Sherwin says the value of the stolen grease was estimated at about $1500 dollars.
