The Minneapolis Police Department said officers responded to Target Center in downtown Minneapolis on the report of a shots fired call shortly before 9 p.m. The initial call indicated the gunfire came from inside of Target Center.

Officers on scene worked with arena security and determined no shots were fired and did not find a gun inside of the area, police say. Officers did report a fight had occurred in the concourse that was brought under control.

Law enforcement maintained a presence throughout the building and surrounding skyways and temporarily closed the streets surrounding Target Center during their response. The Minnesota State High School League released the following statement regarding the law enforcement response.

No word on if any injuries were reported during the fight or if any arrests were made.
