The victim told police that she had been talking with Escobar about buying cocaine. She told police she and Escobar met at the parking lot of True Life Church on the morning of August 26.

The charges say the victim told Escobar she did not have money on her and that she offered him the title to her vehicle until she got the money.

She said Escobar refused her offer, said “you gotta work for it” then sexually assaulted her while the two were in his vehicle in the church’s parking lot, the charges say.

The victim told investigators she fled from Escobar’s vehicle. Police then executed search warrants at Escobar’s residence and found suspect clothing and 1.5 grams of cocaine, the charges say.

Escobar made his first court appearance on Friday and is being held on $50,000 conditional bail. He is due back in court later this month.
