Rochester City Attorney Terry Adkins Announces Retirement Plans
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The City of Rochester is losing another veteran employee.
During his regular monthly appearance on KROC-AM, during the Rochester Today Show, City Attorney Terry Adkins announced his plans to retire next year. He has not set the exact date, but Adkins says it would likely fall during the first three months of 2018. He noted that he will reach his full retirement age in November and his 26 years on the job already makes him the longest serving City Attorney in Rochester’s history.
The native of southern California, Adkins came to Rochester in 1991 after attending college in North Dakota and working as a prosecutor in the North Dakota Attorney General’s office.
Besides his long career, Adkins says his decision to retire was also influenced by a desire to spend more time with his four young grandchildren.
Longtime City Administrator Steve Kvenvold will be retiring next month after a nearly 50 year career with the City of Rochester.
