Rochester homes evacuated due to natural gas leak

Rochester firefighters were called out to a residence in the 1700 block of West Center Street around 8 this morning to help deal with a natural gas leak. A faulty supply line to the gas range was the source of the leak and the homeowner was evacuated due to the elevated levels that were detected in the residence. Two neighboring homes were also evacuated as a precaution until the problem was taken care of.
