
Young Man Arrested for Stabbing During Party at Rochester Apartment
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- A Rochester man is in custody following a stabbing during a party over the weekend.

That’s according to Rochester Police Department Communications Coordinator Amanda Grayson.
Officers responded to the stabbing around 3:00 Sunday morning. Grayson says a verbal altercation preceded the stabbing.

One Arrested, One Stabbed Following Verbal Altercation During Party at Rochester Apartment
The incident unfolded during a party at an apartment in the 2000 block of 8th ½ St. Southeast.
One of the men involved in the altercation, identified as 23-year-old Carlos Samaniego, began to swing around a knife, according to the police report.

Samaniego allegedly stabbed one person in the leg, Grayson said. An update on the person’s condition is not available and police have not said whether or not the victim was taken to a hospital.
Olmsted County Adult Detention Center records indicate Samaniego was booked into the jail shortly before 5:00 Sunday morning.
Grayson says he could face a felony second-degree assault charge.
