Twin Cities Man & Woman Busted in Rochester Shoplifting Plot
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- Two people from the Twin Cities are in custody in connection to an alleged shoplifting plot in Rochester.

Rochester Police Department Communications Coordinator Amanda Grayson says officers learned of a group of people working together to steal items on Sunday.
The thefts were reported at Rochester’s Best Buy, which is located at 4050 Hwy 52 North.

Police had a description of the suspect’s vehicle and later located the vehicle at an unnamed gas station in northwest Rochester, Grayson said.
The police report indicates officers recovered six stolen iPads and two stolen Playstation 5’s inside of the vehicle. 20-year-old Kenneth Machen and 18-year-old Roberta Howard were identified as the suspects.
Olmsted County Adult Detention Center records indicate the Minneapolis residents were booked into the Olmsted County Jail around 5:15 Sunday evening. They are currently awaiting arraignment.
Grayson said Machen and Howard are expected to face multiple shoplifting charges. An estimated value of the items reported stolen from the big box electronics store is not available.
