
Fleeing Motorcyclist Involved in Crash Captured After Fleeing Rochester Police
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- A motorcyclist is in custody after a crash in Rochester Tuesday afternoon.

That’s according to Rochester Police Department Communications Coordinator Amanda Grayson.
The ordeal began around 5:30 p.m. in northwest Rochester and ended after the crash in the backyard of a home.

Officers on patrol saw a motorcycle being driven by a man, identified as 30-year-old Cody Ambrose, who officers knew to have a canceled driver's license, Grayson said.
Police say Ambrose accelerated away from officers after an attempted traffic stop at the intersection of 6th St. and 11th Ave. Northwest.

Ambrose then crashed into the rear of a vehicle and fled the crash scene on foot, according to the police report.
Officers captured the Rochester man in a backyard near the crash scene, Grayson says.
No one in the vehicle struck by the motorcycle was injured, the police report says.
Grayson says Ambrose was evaluated at the Mayo Clinic Emergency Department before being taken to the Olmsted County Jail.
He’s likely to face felony fleeing and other charges, Grayson says.
