Rochester Police: Man Shot Outside Southeast Apartment Building
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Rochester police responded early today to reports of a shooting in Southeast Rochester.
A news release on the incident says the shooting was reported around 2:30 AM outside a residence in the 800 block of Homestead Village Lane Southeast. The reports indicated the person had been shot and the responding officers found a 29-year-old man with gunshot wounds. Law enforcement radio traffic indicated the man had been shot at least 3 times with wounds to his abdomen, groin area, and one of his arms.
He was transported by ambulance to St. Mary's Hospital for treatment. Information about the severity of his wounds and his current medical condition is not available.
The news release says the shooting followed an altercation involving a group of people at that location and that multiple shots were fired. Investigators are currently working to identify and locate the suspect or suspects.
