Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester woman who was charged with stealing nearly a quarter million dollars from her employer has pleaded guilty.

The Olmsted County Attorney’s office filed seven felony theft charges against 35 year old Elizabeth Nhean. As part of a plea agreement, she pleaded guilty to three of the counts.

The criminal complaint says Nhean worked on the payroll operations of International Quality Homecare Corporation and two of its related businesses. The company’s CEO notified police of the huge theft after discovering suspicious transactions last year.  An investigation determined the money was taken between April 2013 and April last year when the discovery was made. The overall loss was put at just under $237,000.

According to the complaint, Nhean told an investigator she had spent the money on vacations, clothing and other items.

She is scheduled to return to court for sentencing in April.
