There's a Rochester, MN business that opened a couple of years ago who could really use our support right now. I've seen many people on social media talking about this place needing some love because of the construction that's totally blocking their business on 2nd St.

Uni Uni Bubble Tea across from St. Mary's is the business I'm talking about. And if you've driven down 2nd St. recently, you know the mess that they're dealing with.

Tinn's, which was also across from St. Mary's, had to close because the construction destroyed their business, and people are concerned the same is going to happen to Uni Uni.

Uni Uni Needs Our Help

Someone shared on the 'Spotted in Rochester' Facebook group what they've experienced and heard as a Uni Uni customer. She writes,

I talked a bit with the owner, who I know very well, about how construction has been killing their business & how they are barely holding on at this point.

There's construction fencing covering the front of their business, a giant dirt patch, and I see construction equipment blocking Uni Uni sometimes when I drive by. There's even a dumpster that just sits in front of their business now. It's ridiculous.

This construction has been wreaking havoc on Uni Uni since summer 2025 and isn't expect to be done until August 2027.

They've been putting in more hours going out and doing pop up events to stay afloat.

Uni Uni Bubble Tea in Rochester, MN

Long story short, Uni Uni has been delt a pretty terrible hand. If you've never tried Uni Uni before, it's super delicious! Go and check them out, grab a bubble tea and maybe a mochi waffle, which look SO good.

They have plenty of other items on their menu, too, including other desserts, acai bowls, and a variety of teas.

Uni Uni shared a post on Facebook back at the end of March thanking their customers for the support during all of this. They write,

Even though construction has made us hard to see, harder to reach, and definitely not a quick stop anymore—you still find us. And that means everything.
