Rural Rochester Fire Wipes Out Garage and Recreational Vehicle

Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A garage, an RV, and another vehicle were wiped out by a fire this morning in rural Southeast Rochester.
The Rochester Fire Department and Olmsted County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the fire in the 4100 block of Maple Court Southeast around 10 AM. While traveling to the property, fire crews reported seeing a large plume of smoke rising into the sky.
A news release says the firefighters were also informed that everyone living on the property was safe. The first fire engine to arrive at the scene accessed the situation and reported that a triple-stall detached garage was fully engulfed in flames.
The fire crews managed to prevent the fire from spreading to the nearby house, but the flames did spread to a recreational vehicle parked next to the garage. A vehicle parked in the garage, along with numerous pieces of yard equipment and other property were destroyed.
The Rochester firefighters were at the scene for about two hours. The cause of the fire has not been determined.
