Search For Drowning Victim in New Brighton

New Brighton, MN (KROC-AM News) - A search was launched Saturday afternoon or a possible drowning victim in Ramsey County.

The New Brighton Public Safety Department says a kayaker was reported missing in Long Lake, which is located just northwest of the interchange of I-35W and I-694. Witnesses reported seeing the person fall into the water without a lifejacket.

The Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office and a State Patrol helicopter are assisting in the search along with personnel from the DNR and Roseville Fire Department.
