Second Tornado Confirmed From Monday Night Storms
Howard Lake, MN (KROC-AM News) - The National Weather Service says its survey teams have confirmed a second tornado touchdown from the severe storm system that moved across Minnesota Monday night and early Tuesday.
The report says the EF-1 twister was producing winds around 90 miles per hour and damaged some farm buildings while it was on the ground for just over a mile in an area southwest of Howard Lake in Wright County. Another EF-1 tornado was previously confirmed about 12 miles to the southeast near Watertown.
The same storm system produced nearly 60 miles-per-hour winds and three-quarter inch hail when it arrived in the Rochester area late Monday night.
