Southeastern Minnesota Faces Enhanced Risk of Severe WX Tonight
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Rochester area and other sections of southeastern Minnesota are included in an area where the National Weather Service says there is in the enhanced risk of severe storms tonight.
Forecasters now say there is an 80-90% probability that thunderstorms will develop this evening and continue overnight.
There is a risk that some of the storms could become severe with damaging winds and hail. The National Weather Service says some of the straight-line winds produced by the storms could cause significant damage.

Forecasters say the storm systems will be fast-moving and that will help limit rainfall amounts, but there is the potential of localized rainfall totals of 2 inches or more in the already greatly oversaturated region.
