Spring Grove Man Guilty in $1 Million Embezzlement Case
Madison, WI (KROC-AM News) - A man from Houston County faces up to 20 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to a federal fraud charge.
54-year-old Curtis Tarver of Spring Grove admitted stealing over $1 million from a Wisconsin company and its sister company in Kentucky over a 12 year period that ended in January of last year. Federal prosecutors say Tarver was employed as the Chief Financial Officer for Rapid Die and Molding in Cassville, Wisconsin and Hawley Products in Paducah, Kentucky when he stole the money by using company credit cards to make personal purchases, writing checks to himself, and transferring money from company accounts to his personal accounts using PayPal and other methods.
His sentencing hearing has been scheduled on December 5th.
