Stunning Drone Photos Reveal The Wonder Of Lake Mille Lacs
Have you ever looked at a photograph and had no idea what you were looking at?
That's what happened to me this morning when I saw this amazing photo of ice breaking up on Lake Mille Lacs.
AN EYE FOR GREAT PHOTOGRAPHY
I've recently discovered an amazing photographer from the Princeton area, who takes just incredible photographs and drone photos as well, and it looks like he's at it again. His name is Jake, and he's the owner of J.Callahan Photography. (jcallahanphotography.com).

OPTICAL ILLUSION OF SORTS
At first, I thought I was looking at something small and up close...Then I realized that the image in the lower-left corner was a dock reaching out into Lake Mille Lacs! All of a sudden, my eyes focused, and I understood.
This was massive chunks of ice breaking apart, and when you compare it to the size of the dock, it really sinks in how incredible Lake Mille Lacs is. That dock looks like a few Legos stuck together.

A SIGHT TO BEHOLD
"The size of the ice chunks on Mille Lacs on Thursday afternoon were a sight to behold. Here are a few photos of them compared to a dock. Enjoy and make it a great day everyone," said Jake in his FB post.
A CONVERSATION WITH JAKE
I reached out to Jake to see if he would let me share more of his photos with us, and asked him how he happened to take photos of Lake Mille Lacs on this particular day.
"I always come up to Mille Lacs to my family cabin this time of year to capture the ice breaking up. It usually makes for some great drone photos.
Mille Lacs is a powerful lake and really shows it when the ice starts to push out to shore. I never get tired of capturing it! Mille Lacs is one of my favorite places on earth."
KEEP TAKING GREAT PHOTOS, JAKE!
All I can say is Jake's photography is unbelievable. He can take just the right photos that can make you feel something. In this case, the majesty that IS Lake Mille Lacs.
