SUV With 2 Children Collides With Semi on North Edge of Rochester
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The State Patrol says two young children were among the occupants of a small SUV that collided with a semi-truck just north of Rochester Wednesday afternoon.
Mayo One Responded to Crash North Edge of Rochester
The injury crash was reported around 5:15 p.m. on 75th Street just west of 18th Avenue Northwest. State troopers were joined by the Olmsted County Sheriff's Office, Rochester Fire Department, Mayo Clinic Ambulance, and a Mayo One helicopter in responding to the collision.
Vehicles Headed in Opposite Directions
The preliminary crash report indicates the SUV was traveling west and the semi-truck was headed east when they collided.
2 Young Children in Smaller Vehicle
The State Patrol says the SUV was driven by a 34-year-old Rochester man. He had three passengers: a 34-year-old woman, a 5-year-old girl, and a 1-year-old boy.
The truck driver was a 43-year-old man from Elgin.
The names of the individuals involved in the crash and information about the extent of their injuries have not been released.
