The Minnesota Department of Transportation is alerting motorists that strong winds, blowing snow and icy road conditions are creating difficult driving conditions across southeastern Minnesota.
The Minnesota State Patrol is reporting there were around 350 crashes at around 550 vehicle spinouts statewide from 10:30 Tuesday night through 10:30 last night.
Road conditions are improving, but the State Patrol and local law enforcement agencies remained busy Sunday afternoon responding to crashes and vehicle spinouts on snow-covered and slick highways across southern Minnesota.
Travel conditions are expected to remain difficult for much of the new night as snow continues to fall and gusty winds create slippery roads with very limited visibility.
