
Three Finalists For Interim Superintendent of Rochester Schools

Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Interviews are scheduled next week for the three people selected as finalists for interim superintendent of Rochester Public Schools.
The RPS Board Friday picked the three out of a field of 11 candidates.
The finalists are:
- Dr. Christina Bemboom, Senior Director of Student Support Services, Eden Prairie Schools, MN
- Dr. Kent Pekel, President and CEO, Search Institute, MN
- Dr. John Thein, Director of Finance, Stillwater Area Public Schools, MN
The board has scheduled interviews for the finalists Tuesday, beginning at 4:00 pm.
All interviews will be held via Microsoft Teams and will be livestreamed at YouTube.com/ISD535.
Current superintendent Michael Munoz is stepping down at the end of June.
Rochester Public Schools has the seventh largest enrollment in Minnesota and covers a large part of Olmsted County and extends into Wabasha County. The district’s pre-kindergarten through grade 12 program serves approximately 18,000 students in sixteen elementary schools, four middle schools, and three comprehensive high schools
