Minnesota Toddler ID’D As Victim on Fatal Crash That Closed Hwy. 52
Hampton, MN (KROC-AM News)- The person who died in a crash on Hwy. 52 in Dakota County on Monday was a toddler.

A woman is also fighting for her life as a result of the fatal crash. That’s according to an updated version of the Minnesota State Patrol’s crash report.
The deadly crash closed Hwy. 52 for several hours between Cannon Falls and Hampton. It happened around 10:30 a.m. at the intersection of Hwy. 52 and 250th St, where traffic is reduced to a single lane in each direction due to a construction project.
3-Year-Old Boy Killed, St. Paul Woman Severely Injured in Hwy. 52 Crash
The state crash report says a northbound car navigating the construction zone crossed the center line and entered the southbound land when it collided head-on with a southbound flat-bed semi truck.
28-year-old Maria De Lose Garcia Galindo of St. Paul was identified as the driver. She was taken to a Twin Cities hospital with life-threatening injuries.
A 3-year-old boy riding with her died at a Twin Cities hospital. The State Patrol identified him as Sebastian Chavez Garcia of St. Paul on Tuesday afternoon.
Danilo Vukmanovic of St. Augustine, FL was driving the southbound semi. He suffered non-life-threatening injuries that were treated at the scene of the fatal crash.
Both drivers were buckled up and its unknown if alcohol was involved in the deadly collision, according to the crash report.
