Train Hits Dodge County Man’s Vehicle

Dodge Center, MN (KROC AM News) - An elderly Dodge County man was seriously hurt Wednesday when his vehicle was hit by a train.

Dodge County Sheriff Scott Rose says the collision occurred around 1:30 PM in Dodge Center.

The SUV was driven by 84-year-old Lyle Lyke of rural Claremont. Rose says the intersection is controlled by a stop sign and that Lyke failed to yield to the train. The train hit the rear of the SUV, causing it to roll.
