A news release says firefighters were called out shortly before 2 PM to the 1000 block of 12th Avenue Northwest, where it was discovered that a tree service had unsuccessfully attempted to cut down a large tree. According to the Fire Department, the tree was left in a "precarious state" and was in danger of falling on multiple nearby houses.
