Sebeka, MN (KROC AM News) - An officer-involved shooting in west-central Minnesota has left two people dead and a deputy in the hospital.

The Wadena County Sheriff’s Office says one of its deputies made a traffic stop around 8:45 pm Saturday and a struggle broke out between the officer and the motorist.

Another motorist arrived as did a police officer from the nearby town of Sebeka. And that’s when the shooting began.

According to a post on the Wadena County Sheriff’s Office Facebook:

“At least one of the motorists began shooting at the officers.
One of the officers returned fire. All four were struck by gunfire. “
