Man Dies at Scene of Tire Explosion in Wabasha County

Lake City, MN (KROC-AM News) - Very few details have been released, but the Wabasha County Sheriff's Office has identified the victim of a tragic incident near Lake City.

Wabasha County Sheriff Rodney Bartsch says deputies and other emergency responders were dispatched today to a report of a tire explosion at a rural Lake City property. A news release indicates a tire exploded while being worked on at the site.

The sheriff says 34-year-old Joshua Moeching Jr. was pronounced dead at the scene.

The statement says his father, Joshua Moeching Sr., was transported to St. Marys Hospital with facial injuries. Information about his medical condition is not available.
