A Wisconsin man is lucky to be alive after being shot and attacked while working as a server in a restaurant. Twin sisters have been charged in the case.

26-year-old Anthony Rodriguez was working at a George Webb restaurant in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, a suburb of Milwaukee, a few weeks ago when his shift turned violent.

According to Fox 6 News, Rodriguez was the only server working when some customers got angry over their orders. The group of four women, sitting at two different tables, claimed they had ordered an additional hamburger, but Rodriguez didn't recall the addition.

When the women said they wouldn't pay for any of their food, Rodriguez took the food back and asked the women to leave. Minutes later, shortly after midnight, he says the violence began.

Rodriguez told Fox 6,

I was getting punched in the head by one of (them)…and then they tried to body slam me, and as soon as I got slammed on the ground, I heard a bang. That’s when I got shot.

According to the criminal complaint in the case, Rodriguez told authorities he was also kicked and stomped before the women left the restaurant.

Rodriguez says the bullet, which knocked out most of the teeth in the right side of his mouth, is still lodged in his neck. While Rodriguez does have pain and is wearing a neck brace to limit the movement of his neck, he realizes it could've been much worse:

I’m just lucky to be alive, and I’m so grateful I can move around and see my family. It gives me a fresh perspective. The healing I’ve done so far has been incredible. Just a week ago, I couldn’t even speak.

20-year-old twin sisters Breanta and Bryanna Johnson have both been charged with 1st-Degree Intentional Homicide. They remain in the Milwaukee County Jail, each on a $100,000 cash bond. If convicted, the women both face up to 65 years in prison.
