MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — A rally in Minneapolis over the events of Ferguson turned scary when a car hit and then drove through several protesters.

Several hundred protesters gathered Tuesday afternoon near the 3rd Precinct police outpost to show solidarity with Michael Brown. He's the young black man shot and killed by a white police officer in Ferguson, Missouri, this summer. Ferguson erupted in violence Monday night after a grand jury declined to indict the officer.

Helicopter footage from KSTP-TV showed the car pushing through protesters and driving over at least one.

Police spokesman Scott Seroka says a woman suffered minor injuries.

The Minneapolis rally was one of at least five in Minnesota. Several hundred people gathered earlier Tuesday at the University of Minnesota.
