The second shooting happened four days after a deadly shooting near downtown Rochester claimed the life of 28-year-old Dahir Dahir

As of Monday morning no arrests connected to Thursday evening’s fatal shooting in the area of 10th St. and 1st Ave. Southeast have been announced.

Woman Shot in Northwest Rochester, MN Early Sunday Morning

Rochester Police Department Communications Coordinator Amanda Grayson says officers responded to the report of gunshots around 3:10 Sunday morning. 

The call came from the 5100 block of 51st St. Northwest, which is near Northern Hills Golf Course.

Responding officers found an adult female outside of a residence in the area with a gunshot wound. 

The wound was non-life-threatening, according to the police report. The shooting was not believed to have been random, Grayson said. 

The victim's name has not been released. Information released about the incident indicates the woman was hit once. No other details are available as of Monday morning.

As of Monday morning no arrests have been made. Grayson says Sunday morning’s shooting is under investigation.

In a statementment, Grayson said, "RPD is committed to the safety and well-being of our community. The recent homicide and shooting are priority cases, and we are determined to find those responsible so they are held accountable."
