Wykoff, MN (KROC-AM News)- A southeast Minnesota man has been charged in connection with a major drug bust last week.

That’s according to a statement released on Tuesday by Fillmore County Sheriff John DeGeorge.

He said the Fillmore County Sheriff’s Office and the Mower County Sheriff’s Office conducted a joint operation that involved the execution of a search warrant on April 22.

Authorities Seize Meth, Cash & Ammunition During Search of Wykoff Home

DeGeorge said the search followed the arrest of 50-year-old Jason Eli Moore in Mower County, which occurred between April 20 and April 21. 

Authorities executed the search warrant at Moore’s residence, which is located in the 400 block of Line St. North in Wykoff. 

During the search, investigators found an estimated 376 grams of methamphetamine, $1,200 in cash and shotgun ammunition, authorities say. 

DeGeorge estimated the street value of the methamphetamine at $10,000.  

Felony Charges Follow Drug Raid

Moore is facing charges of first-degree drug possession, receiving stolen property and possession of a firearm or ammunition by a person convicted of a violent crime in Fillmore County

He is currently in custody at the Mower County Jail in Austin. 

Court records indicate Moore was convicted of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute in federal court in October of 1998.

The Austin Police Department and Southeast Minnesota Violent Crime Enforcement Team assisted with the investigation, DeGeorge said.
