Young Girl Airlifted to Minnesota Hospital After Mower Accident
Cook, MN (KROC-AM News)- A young girl in northern Minnesota was severely injured after an accident involving an ATV and brush mower.
A news release from the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to a property about five miles north of Cook on the report of a 6-year-old girl being in an ATV accident. The emergency call came in around 1:50 p.m. Friday.
The initial investigation indicates the child was riding on the back of an ATV that was towing a brush mower driven by an adult man, who was using the equipment to mow trails. The 6-year-old fell off the ATV and was run over by the mower.
The girl was taken from the accident scene by ambulance to a hospital in Cook then airlifted to Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis. The news release describes her injuries as serious.
The names of the girl and the ATV operator have not been released.
