
Update: Search for Driver Who Crashed Into Zumbrota House Ends
Zumbrota, MN (KROC-AM News)- The search for the driver who fled after smashing into a home in Zumbrota earlier this week is over.

Zumbrota Police issued a request for public assistance after responding to the vehicle-home collision around 2:30 Thursday morning.
No one inside of the home was injured and the structure was deemed safe enough for the residents to stay in the house.

Police asked home and business owners along the route the suspect was believed to have fled on to check cameras for footage of the vehicle.
Driver Suspected of Fleeing After Smashing into Zumbrota, MN Home Turns Himself In After Vehicle Photo Release
On Thursday afternoon, Zumbrota police released photos of the suspect vehicle that were captured by surveillance cameras in the area of the crash.
Police said the suspect came forward shortly after the photos were released to the public.
He is described as a 25-year-old man from Mazeppa. His name has not been released.
Investigators obtained a statement from the suspect and are requesting the Goodhue County Attorney’s Office file formal charges against him, a news release issued Thursday afternoon by the Zumbrota Police Department says.
No other information is being released. Police also thanked the residents who came forward to provide investigators with the photos.
