Lanesboro, MN (KROC-AM News) - State Patrol is indicating that alcohol use is suspected on the part of the driver of a car that collided with a horse-drawn Amish buggy in southeastern Minnesota Saturday evening.

The preliminary crash report says the collision occurred just before 6:20 p.m. on Highway 16 in Lanesboro. The State Patrol says the car and the buggy were both traveling west when they collided.

Harmony Man Injured in Horse-Drawn Buggy Crash

The driver of the horse-drawn buggy suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to St. Marys Hospital by the Lanesboro Ambulance Service. He was identified as 74-year-old Harvey Hershberger of Harmony.

Alcohol Use Suspected

The State Patrol says alcohol use is suspected on the part of the driver of the car, who was not injured. He was identified as 76-year-old Richard Horahan of Lanesboro.
