Biden Visits Minnesota Thursday
ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Vice President Joe Biden is making a stop in St. Paul.
Biden was scheduled to appear at the Union Depot train station Thursday morning to mark the seventh anniversary of President Barack Obama's economic stimulus package. The St. Paul train station received $35 million in federal funds in 2009 for a restoration project.
The vice president's stop is part of a three-state swing to commemorate the massive stimulus act. He was also visiting Louisiana and Tennessee.
Union Depot's status as an Amtrak hub will make it a special spot for Biden. The former Delaware senator took daily Amtrak trips to Washington, D.C. during his long career in the U.S. Senate.
