Federal Indictment Accuses Hastings Man of Employing Minors to Produce Child Pornography
Court documents say 27-year-old Hunter James Geidl used and employed minor victims to engage in sexually explicit acts that were used to produce pornographic images and videos.
The Hastings man is accused of conducting the child pornography production operation from July 29, 2022, until March 22, 2024, the news release says.
The indictment also alleges that Geidl knowingly possessed a video file depicting a minor engaging in sexually explicit activities in May of 2022.
Geidl is charged with three counts of production and attempted production of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography.
He made his initial appearance in federal court last week and was ordered to remain in custody pending further proceedings following a detention hearing on Tuesday.
Authorities are asking anyone who may have been in contact with Geidl to contact the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI (800-225-5324) or tips.fbi.gov.
