Former Rochester Man Sentenced For Possession of Child Porn

Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A former Rochester man has been sentenced to 10 years on probation for child pornography convictions.
32-year-old Dennis Michael Jackson Junior, who now lives in Zumbrota, earlier entered into a plea agreement in Olmsted County Court and admitted to two counts of possession of child pornography involving children under the age of 14. In exchange, two other counts of the same crime were dismissed.
According to court records, the charges against Jackson stemmed from an investigation that was launched in the fall of 2021 after Rochester Police received a cyber tip. The information involved videos of suspected child abuse material linked to an account under his name that was associated with a cell phone registered to Jackson.
The court documents say investigators obtained a search warrant that was executed last August. That led to the discovery of more than 20 videos depicting the sexual abuse of children as young as three years old.
The criminal complaint also says that Jackson gave a statement to investigators during which he admitted he had been viewing child pornography for at least six years. He also stated to investigators that he had become "infatuated with it."
