That’s according to a criminal complaint filed in Olmsted County Court on Wednesday. The Rochester Police Department received the tip from Google last month.
The tip indicated that 14 videos depicting suspected child sexual abuse material had been uploaded to a cloud account in October.
The account was traced to 30-year-old Taylor Andrew Nelson, the complaint says.

During the investigation, detectives found a tip indicating suspected child sex abuse material had been linked to an account belonging to Nelson in 2021.
On Dec. 9, investigators executed a search warrant at Nelson’s home and seized a cell phone identified through the investigation of the tip.
Nelson told investigators he had been viewing suspected child sexual abuse material on the phone for the past 6-7 years, the court filing says.
Investigators found the files included in the tip on Nelson’s cloud account. One of the files was a video depicting a sexual act between an adult male and girl estimated to be 5-7 years old, the complaint says.
Nelson was booked into the Olmsted County Jail on Monday afternoon. He is charged with one count of possession of pornographic work depicting a minor under the age of 14.
Nelson was released without bail following his arraignment hearing on Wednesday morning and is due back in court next month.
