June Was Wetter and Warmer in Rochester Area

June was definitely a wet month in the Rochester area. The National Weather Service says rainfall

was measured on 15 of the month’s 30 days. Most of the rain fell during two stretches of consecutive days: the 14th - 19th and the final 5 days of the month.

The monthly total was 6 ½ inches, which is 1.82 inches above normal. It was a slightly warmer June than normal with an average temperature of 68.8 degrees. That’s 1 ½ degrees above normal. The warmest day was June 6th when the mercury hit 85 degrees.
