Charges Filed Against Rochester Man Accused of Committing Two Sex Assaults

In the April case, Hussein is accused of raping a woman he met at a bar. On April 29 the woman reported the alleged rape to the Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office

She said she met Hussein at a bar in Rochester on the night of April 27 and that she, Hussein and a group of people went to a house party after the bar closed.

She said Hussein then gave her a ride to her home in Byron around 4 a.m. because she was intoxicated, the charges say. Hussein is alleged to have gone into the house with her and raping her.

Hussein told an investigator he was with the woman and said, “he tried to ‘get things going sexually,”’ the complaint says. The Rochester man denied raping the woman.

He’s been charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct, third-degree criminal sexual conduct and fifth-degree in that case.

The other sexual assault Hussein is accused of committing was reported to the Rochester Police Department last September. The victim in that case reported knowing Hussein and running into him at a Rochester bar.

Upon bar close, she said Hussein jumped in a car with her to go to a party at a friend’s house. She said Hussein was trying to get the two of them alone at the bar and house party, the complaint says.

The woman told police she then gave Hussein a ride home and that he kept trying to grab and kiss her. She also said Hussein leaned over to the driver’s side of the vehicle and tried to grope the victim while attempting to kiss her.

She said Hussein then got out of the car, went around to the driver’s side and began kissing and biting her neck, the charges say. Hussein denied attempting to kiss the woman and the attempted groping.

Hussein is scheduled to make his first court appearances in both cases next month.
