
Rochester Motorcyclist Suffers Severe Leg Injury in Collision With Road Grader
Pine Island, MN (KROC-AM News)- A Rochester motorcyclist suffered a severe leg injury after colliding with a Road Grader.

Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office Captain Tim Parkin says first responders were called to the scene of the crash around 2:45 Thursday afternoon.
The crash happened at a rural intersection northwest of Rochester.

Motorcyclist Collides with Road Grader at Rural Intersection Northwest of Rochester
Parkin says the motorcyclist struck the equipment while trying to pass it at the intersection of Olmsted County Rd. 3 NW and Olmsted County Rd. 105 NW.
Preliminary information released by the sheriff’s office indicates the Road Grader was preparing to make a turn at the time of the crash.
The collision sent the motorcyclist into the ditch. The Rochester man suffered a fractured leg, Parkin said.
Mayo One Responds to Crash Scene
Mayo One responded to the scene and flew the motorcyclist to a hospital for further care. The Pine Island Fire Department says the Road Grader Operator was not hurt.
The motorcycle operator’s name has not been released. The Pine Island Fire Department says he's 61 years old.
Parkin said the Rochester man was wearing a helmet.
