CASS LAKE, Minn. (AP) — Next year's U.S. Capitol Christmas tree will come from the Chippewa National Forest in Minnesota.
The Bemidji Pioneer says it's not the first U.S. Capitol Christmas tree to come from the Chippewa National Forest. A 60-foot white spruce was selected in 1992.Chippewa Forest supervisor Darla Lenz says the tree will likely come from the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe's reservation.
