Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A dusting of light snow overnight created slick conditions on some area roadways Sunday morning.

The light snow developed around two in the morning and while it did not result in any measurable accumulations, it left highways, particularly in the far southeastern corner of the state and south-central Minnesota, partially snow covered with scattered slippery spots. Slick roads were also reported in northern Minnesota. Those conditions were apparently enough to contribute to a very busy morning for the Minnesota State Patrol.

As of late Sunday morning, the State Patrol reported it had responded to 373 traffic crashes, including 2 that resulted in serious injuries. There were also 124 reports of vehicle spinouts and three collisions that involved State Patrol vehicles. Officials say none of the troopers involved in those incidents were hurt.

Information about the serious injury crashes is expected to be released later today.
