Rochester, MN  (KROC AM News)  - A Rochester man with a long history of DWI convictions has been sent to prison for his latest case.

On Wednesday, 49-year-old Kevin Rasmussen was sentenced to 51 months in jail. He was arrested and charged with felony DUI last December.

The arresting officer’s report noted Rasmussen was driving without a driver’s license - and not for the first time.

The report says his license was first revoked for a DWI offense in 1990. There have been several other revocations since then and the report says Rasmussen has not had a driver’s license since 2007.

Rasmussen was involved in a traffic accident near Marion in April. The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office says he ran a stop sign at a rural intersection near Marion and collided with a car driven by a Kellogg woman. Rasmussen called someone who picked him up before deputies arrived but he was eventually apprehended.
