Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Rochester man labeled by Rochester Police officials as a career criminal has been sentenced for violating his probation.

An Olmsted County Judge has ordered 37-year-old Terry Heggs to serve 39-months in prison for violating the terms of his probation, but also ruled the sentence had been satisfied by the time he has already spent in jail. He was given a stayed prison sentence and was placed on probation for up to 20-years following his convictions two years ago in four criminal cases involving drug dealing, witness tampering, and failing to register as a predatory offender.

He was previously sent to prison for convictions on charges connecting to a shooting in 2009 outside the old Aquarius nightclub, a sexual assault involving a 16-year-old girl, and a 2010 drug bust.
