Rochester Man Gets Jail For Sexual Misconduct Involving Juvenile
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Rochester man has been ordered to serve a jail sentence for sexual misconduct involving a juvenile girl.
Court records indicate 31-year-old Timmothy Robert Johnson was charged two years ago with second-degree criminal sexual conduct involving a victim under 16 years old. According to the criminal complaint, he was accused of repeatedly inappropriately touching the victim on at least 10 occasions.
The court document says the girl reported the sexual misconduct in the fall of 2020. It states that she told a friend at her Middle School in Rochester, which led to an investigation by Rochester police.
The criminal complaint says an investigator interviewed Johnson and he indicated that he could not recall a time that he was inappropriate with the girl. He did admit to the investigator that he consumed alcohol while at the victim's residence and had gotten drunk on occasions.
Johnson earlier entered a Norgaard plea to the second-degree criminal sexual conduct charge. That means he admits his guilt but does not remember his actions due to intoxication.
He has been sentenced to 45 days in jail with credit for the five days he has already spent in custody. He was also given a stayed three year prison sentence and was placed on probation for 25 years.
