Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Rochester man has been sentenced to 90 days in jail for his conviction on a misdemeanor charge stemming from a violent home invasion in Albert Lea last year.

37-year-old Jessie Crum was originally charged with first-degree burglary involving an assault, but worked out a plea agreement with Freeborn County prosecutors and admitted to a misdemeanor trespassing charge today. He and his sister were arrested in April of last year after Albert Lea police responded to reports of a home invasion and were told the pair had fled with the sister’s two children after Crum allegedly held a gun to the head of their biological father.

The sister, 34-year-old Benita Crum, went to trial last fall and was found not guilty of burglary and other charges in the case.
