The criminal complaint, filed in Olmsted County Court on Thursday, says the traffic stop happened in May of last year.
Rochester police stopped the suspect’s vehicle on Hwy. 52 after observing multiple traffic violations, the complaint says.

The charges say the driver, identified in the complaint as 53-year-old Mary Xiong Yang, was displaying signs of impairment. The officer arrested Yang on suspicion of driving under the influence.
A subsequent K-9 sniff of the vehicle alerted law enforcement to the presence of drugs. Police then found 206.3 grams of methamphetamine in Yang’s purse, the charges allege.
Yang was taken to the Olmsted County Jail where she submitted a urine sample. An analysis of the sample, conducted by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, detected the presence of methamphetamine and amphetamine in her body, the complaint says.

An Olmsted County Judge set her bail at $50,000 during her first court appearance on Thursday. Yang is due back in court later this month.
