
Rochester Public Transit Announces Changes For Downtown Construction
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- The City of Rochester has announced a start date for Rochester Public Transit changes connected to planned construction in downtown Rochester.

The changes come as Mayo Clinic begins construction in earnest on its Bold.Forward.Unbound in Rochester expansion in the downtown.
Officials anticipate the changes to the transit system will be in effect until the Summer 2026.

Rochester Public Transit Announces Start Date for Construction-Related Changes
Starting Sunday, April 6, the Downtown Transit Center on 2nd St. Southwest will be relocated north to Central Park along 2nd St. Northwest, according to a new release issued by the city.
City officials are planning to make Central Park the secondary hub for the services on-demand microtransit pilot program called RPT Go.
The bus stops along 2nd St. Southwest between 11th Ave. and 6th Ave. Southwest. Riders are also asked to anticipate minor adjustments to route timetables and the service path for route 412 will change.
RPT’s transit app will be updated with the new information on April 6 and printed schedules reflecting the changes will be available by March 31, a news release says.
